Petit Mail PenPal

I remember my first pen-pal. I was seven.

The excitement of waiting to get a letter in the mail- that traveled across states to arrive in our mail box was just wonderful.

It’s like getting a present in the mail.

Seeing the same excitement in Zoey eyes was so fun to see.

And the bit of rainbow colors it gathered from its travel just made the letter that more special.

Opening up the letter to find a new friend- a beautiful piece of the world sent through the mail to us.

Zoey’s younger sister Poet had fun too.

Together they looked at the stickers that were sent and art work.

Learned about what their new little friend Nora loved, Thomas the Train, and about where Paradise Canada was.

What we learned about Paradise :

It is on the Avalon Peninsula.

It is the starting point for the annual Tely 10 Mile Road Race, Called Tely because the sponsor of the race is The Telegram. It is one of the oldest races in Canada.

Afterwards we had fun picking out stickers and picking out a picture to send back.

Zoey choose one of her favorites pictures of her and Poet.

Zoey loves to draw and being able to send back some of her art work was really exciting for her.

Poet joined in the fun putting stickers on the letter- and creating the letter that would travel back.

Going to the Post Office to send off the letter.

We cant wait to create more letters to send to our pen-pal.

Thank you to Petit Mail for creating such a fun and learning experience for my girls.
